You can now download Google Pixel Launcher on any Android phone even without rooting the device. This will be an interesting information for fans of Google Pixel devices who are not yet using them but want to have the feel and looks of the interface in their other phones.
To make this realistic, you need to download the Google Pixel Launcher app and install it on your Android phone. Though the app is not currently available in Play Store but you can download it from third-part app store and that would mean that you have to grant your smartphone permission to install apps from “unknown sources”.
Recall Google Pixel is one of the smartphones launched last year by Google with features such as Snapdragon 821 processor, 4GB RAM, 12mp/8mp back and front cameras respectively, fingerprint scanner, 2770mAh battery and lots more. You can check the complete specs and price of the phone here.
HOW TO INSTALL GOOGLE PIXEL LAUNCHER
✔️ First, go to your cell phone’s Settings menu -> Security -> Enable ‘Unknown Sources’.
✔️ Next, download the Launcher app to your Android smartphone by clicking here
✔️ Now, tap on the downloaded APK notification to install the app.
✔️ Then, tap your phone’s Home button, and you will be prompted to choose a default launcher. Select Pixel launcher. If tapping your home button does not prompt you, go to Settings -> Home app, choose Pixel launcher as your default launcher there.
That is it. Your Android smartphone should now run using the Google Pixel Launcher.
The above download source provides two options, an Android Go optimised version and a stock Android version. In my testing, I did not quite notice any differences in the two, but the idea is that the Android Go version should be lighter and use less resources.
