Popular web browser, UC Browser has my strangely disappeared from the Google Play store after achieving 500 million downloads just last month.
The mobile browser which is owned by Alibaba has been delisted by Google overnight because of misleading content. So now you know the reason why it's removed.
Users started noticing this first on Tuesday this week. One of them by name Mike Ross, who claims to work for UC Browser, tweeted that the browser is "temporarily removed" from the Play Store for 30 days due to adopting "misleading" and "unhealthy" methods of increasing installs. We've reached out to Google and UCWeb for clarity and will update this space accordingly.
Responding to that, UCweb had this to say via mail… "We have conducted an urgent internal investigation and fixed the problem. The new version has been uploaded on Google Play's Developer Console and is awaiting evaluation. We will actively cooperate with Google Play for any concern caused by this unintentional error".
In a positive note, the UC mini browser is still available in playstore so if you really want to use UC browser, then you should consider it (that is if you don't have the main version already installed in your device).

For me, whether UC is deleted or not, my main web browser is Google Chrome. What about you.
