ABOUT 9MOBILE PROBLEMS
Earlier this year, Etisalat Nigeria ran into trouble when it couldn't pay up the $1.2 billion loan from a consortium of 13 banks. Though NCC intervened on many occasions but that didn't prevent the UAE telecom operator to pull out which led to the rebranding of the network, hence the name 9Mobile.
The Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr. Godwin Emefiele, on Tuesday said that the intervention of the apex bank and the Nigerian Communications Commission in the 9mobile loan repayment saga, was due to the systemic importance of the company.
He stated this while responding to questions from journalists shortly after the two-day Monetary Policy Committee meeting held at the apex bank’s headquarters in Abuja.
He said with about 19 million subscribers, there was no way the regulators could allow the company (formerly Etisalat Nigeria) to be “dismembered” by its creditors.

I didn't choose globacom cos they have a network
I didn't chose Airtel cos if they eventually handle the network..9mobile will become thieves
If any company can afford to buy the network, let them go ahead and buy..
ReplyDeleteBut one thing,
Let 9mobile reduce their bundle when they are bought..I hope so...

ReplyDeletethank you for the update… More grease to your elbow
ReplyDeleteThe company is not in good shape right now at all, if selling it is what they want, that shouldn't be a problem, all we need is for the company to be in safe hand and ready to deliver the very best interms of affordability and good quality, i.e. When they Finally sold out it to the highest bidder.
