MultiChoice Introduces GOtv Max, Adds SS Select 4 and Other Channels

MultiChoice, the owners of both DSTV and GOtv has launched a new package called GOtv Max" that brings along new channels like Super Sports Select 4, FOX Entertainment, CBS Reality and Sony Max.

SS Select 4 will be a channel that shows live La Liga matches and some Premier League matches. It adds to previously available football channels on GOtv - Super Sports 1, 2 and 3. For movies and TV shows, viewers will have the choice of FOX Entertainment, CBS reality and Sony MAX.

At the moment, GOtv is giving all active GOtv Plus customers a taste of the GOtv Max package with an open view period of the channels from the 1st until 31st of October 2017.

The new content offering is part of a wider sports coverage which includes the recently acquired rights to show wresting fights from the WWE; select matches from the English Premier League and African football leagues.

General Manager of GOtv, Akinola Salu, made this known at the launch of GOtv MAX, a new package GOtv. GOtv MAX is a new family entertainment package on the platform that will afford its customers access to the latest and best content straight from Hollywood and around the world.

“Some of the exciting programming that will be available on the new package includes the best of European football action including all La Liga matches live on a new sports channel, SS Select 4. There will also be select live games of the Premier League and a wider sports offering which include the recently acquired WWE and African football leagues,” he stated.

According to The Local, an online platform, quoting statistics provided by Uefa’s league coefficient, Spain’s Primera Division remains the world’s best league and has been for the past five years. The league boasts of the top two footballers in the world in Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo and Barcelona, Lionel Messi.

Real Madrid and Barcelona, from La Liga have won Europe’s elite club competition between them in the last four years. Besides, the leagues has also provided the two finalists in European Champions League Finals twice in the last three years when city Rivals, Real Madrid and Athletico Madrid slugged it out in 2014 and 2016.

GOtv Max Package Price

At the moment, there is no official price tag of the package in Nigeria but to enjoy it, you have to subscribe N1,900. I got the SMS from GOtv, i proceeded to recharge and i got the channels. However, in Kenya, the GOtv Max package price is Ksh. 1,299 (equivalent to N4,520 in Nigerian Naira).
