Globally the SIM is sold for $12 and in Nigeria it costs N4800 and once you have purchased the SIM, you head over to the ChatSim website to activate it.
HOW TO ACTIVATE CHATSIM
After getting the SIM, enter the 19 or 20-digit identifier number on the SIM card and the number assigned to your ChatSim. Click Continue. You are good to go.
After that, you have to manually set your phone's data APN to ChatSIM's settings, it is also advised to turn off background data and automatic app updates in your phone's settings screen as chat SIM cannot be used to update your applications or browse the web with any any web browser and if you don't, you may find your SIM card ends up being "blocked," requiring you to log into ChatSim's site on a Wi-Fi connection to unlock it.
With ChatSim, WhatsApp chat is smooth and seamless although voice calls and Web requests simply wouldn't connect. ChatSim rather points out that you can make outbound voice calls via Facebook Messenger if you need to.

According to PCmag,
"If you want to send or receive multimedia messages or make voice-over-IP (VoIP) calls, you have to buy additional credits. For most countries, ChatSim charges €10 (about $11) for 40MB of data, or €25 (about $27.50) for 100MB. That then gets used by your photo messages and VoIP calls.
