Twitter is reportedly stopping the inclusion of Usernames, links, images, gifs, videos and quoted tweets as characters when counting a tweet character.
Remember, twitter only allows 140 characters per tweet and this has made some people value other social platforms than twitter but this move will make it possible for people to include a bit more text on their tweets.
This announcement was made back in May when Twitter said it's planning to stop counting photos and links in the 140-character limit
According to the Verge, this update will start rolling out from Monday, September 19. But no one knows if the update will hit everyone at the same time or stages by stages as there are other new features coming up as well.
