The trending news all over the Internet this week is the deactivation of Twitter account of Niger Delta’s militant group @NDavengers which has over 32,000 followers before it was deactivated.

But why was the account suspended? Although the answer is clear but the main reason is respects twitters TOC which is part of twitter’s move to combat violent extremism. This heightened after the group reported that it carried out five attacks on oil assets in two days.
Meanwhile, Mr Mudoch Agbinibo who is the spokesperson for the Avengers released a statement on Facebook that confirmed the suspension. In his post:
"Notice! This is to bring to your notice that our twitter handle @www.twitter.com/@ndavengers has been suspended and our blog @www.nigerdeltaavengers disabled.
We use this medium to appeal to our fans and supporter to be very careful with any website or twitter claiming to represent us. We shall launch new accounts soon! We must continue the struggle!!!"
Remember the Avengers website was recently shutdown and now their twitter account is taken down - remaining Facebook but according to their spokesman, they are not relenting and trying to create more accounts.
Please all we need in this country is PEACE. Violence can't solve our problems rather it will worsen the condition. I stand against violence, I stand against terrorism. Please lets Peace reign. Am using this medium to draw the attention of our leaders once again to have a rethink and consider what the Nigerian citizens are going through at the moment. We needed change but not a negative change. I still believe things will get better soon. One love Nigeria!!!
