In a bid to fight against annoying spam calls, Google has commenced the roll out of new update to Android Phone app that offers new feature to notify users about spam calls. Meanwhile, this update is coming to only Nexus and Android One devices at the moment
According to the google's statement in a Google+ post
Interestingly, this update will however, allow users to block and report these numbers. "If you already have Caller ID turned on, spam protection will be available on your phone once your app updates to the latest version," the post said.
It is worthy to know that before now, there are third party apps that does this particular job perfectly. My best apps for it is CM security and Truecaller
