A new device from Gionee codenamed Gionee S11 pops-up on TENAA with a 6-inch, 18:9 Bezelless FullVision AMOLED display.
Recently Gionee has been very busy making some decent smartphones. Recall they released Gionee M7 and M7 Power few days ago with both phones coming with 18:9 Bezelless Display which is now the trending feature in new high-end phones this days. Now, according to what we have on TENAA, this new Gionee S11 will also feature 18:9 Bezelless Display.
The Gionee S11, which recently appeared on the Chinese certification authority's website takes the ultra-wide aspect ration trend to heart, since the S11 is listed as using a 6.01-inch, 1080 x 2160 pixel AMOLED panel. Likely the very same FullVision one used in the M7. You definitely won't hear us complaining, since it has all the right signs to really impress. At least on paper, that is.
OTHER FEATURES OF GIONEE S11
According to TENAA the S11will runs on a 2.5GHz octa-core chipset, it will pack 6GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage. "Taking after its S10 predecessor, the Gionee S11 will also have a total of four cameras - two on the back and two on the front. By the looks of things, the setup won't really be changed and will consist of 16 MP + 8 MP on one side and 20MP + 8MP on the other, respectively."

DeleteThen to Ernest, are you not tired of quoting anything someone else's drops here?
Now immediately i see a comment i quickly rush down to see if you have quoted it or not.
Some guys were doing same and after a while they got tired.
The brief is really making sense but i have observed that GIONEE has now started stepping down the battery capacity of some of their phones.
ReplyDeleteWith our erratic power supply in the country, it's imperative that we use phones with a battery capacity of atleast 4200mah
ReplyDeleteWhile searching for phones with big battery capacity, i came across the ULEFONE POWER 3 with over 13000mah battery capacity and i had to ask why is Gionee now producing phones with low battery capacity.
ReplyDeleteWaow good update
ReplyDeleteThe phone wii make sense since it come with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage
ReplyDeleteOne of the problem's we are facing in Nigeria is electricity, i hope the phone come with quality battery and low price.
ReplyDeleteme m also tired..i dont know the nigerians is gonna have 24/7 electricity
DeleteWe are waiting for more update
ReplyDeleteAs OKAFOR had stated and i quote it in parts "We are waiting for more updates"
ReplyDeleteHere are the needed updates
Just a few days after the Gionee S11 was seen on GFXBench, the Gionee S11S has appeared on TENAA. We believe this is a more powerful variant of the S11. Now that it has been seen on the certification database, it hints at a launch date being close.
The Gionee S11S packs a 6.01” 2160 x 1080 AMOLED display just like that of the Gionee M7. The RAM and storage is also the same at 6GB and 64GB respectively. There is a slot for adding up to an additional 128GB. Unlike the version seen on GFXBench with a 2.3GHz octa-core processor, this one has a 2.5GHz SoC. We believe this is the Helio P25.
ReplyDeleteThe Gionee S11S borrows a leaf from its predecessor and that is quad-cameras. There is a 16MP + 8MP combo on the rear and a 20MP + 8MP combo for selfies.
ReplyDeleteThe S11S has a 3600mAh battery, runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat, and measures 155.82 x 72.58 x 6.95 mm. Its weight is recorded as 177.8g.
With respect to design, the Gionee S11S can be described as a mashup between the Gionee M7 and the Gionee S10. It has a metal body with the same dual camera design that is slightly raised. The FullView display means the fingerprint scanner has now been pushed to the back. Power button and volume rocker are on the right side and the SIM tray sits on the left.
ReplyDeleteThe front cameras are at the top left corner, with the earpiece a few mm away. The lower bezel does nothing more than serve as a banner for the manufacturer’s name. TENAA lists the available color as black but the sample images provided show a blue variant. More colors should be revealed when it launches.
ReplyDeletepaul thank u
Deletebut the gionee s11 does it support glo 4g lte band?
DeleteWhat's your issue with Glo 4G LTE?
DeleteDo you have their connectivity in your location?
the phone is superb, but i don't like mtk phones on general, can't Gionee produce phones on other chipset....
ReplyDeleteMy dear
DeleteLet's reason here like matured minds.
Most Nigerians are so much in love with MTK powered phones because they are easily affordable and tweakable unlike snapdragon powered phones.
Assuming that there is a cheat that requires tweaking the IMEI, will you go for MTK or snapdragon?
with what am seeing, the phone price will be nothing less than 100k and that might make people go for other brands
ReplyDeletethanks fr the update sir
ReplyDeletethe phone is amazing ....huge ram,a lot of internal memory..the phone will be very expensive
ReplyDeletebut i prefer the gionee s11 to gionee M7
ReplyDeleteWow that's lots of length
ReplyDeleteGood reviewed spec lets wait and see its full tools.nice phone
