Tecno Mobile skipped Phantom 7 to unveil the Phantom 8 yesterday. So this clears the doubts on which device we have been anticipating for. So we will look into the specs of this phone.
The Tecno Phantom 8 is the latest flagship device from the Chinese brand launched in Dubai. The smartphone will surely be one of the trending Tecno phones this festive season and I know Tecno fans will be delighted to know more about it before purchasing.

Although there is no 18:9 aspect ratio bezel-less display here but the Phantom 8 sports a 5.7-inch IPS screen with about 75.1% screen to body ratio compared to the Phantom 6 Plus that has a 6-inch screen and 74.5% screen to body ratio. The Screen protected with a Corning Gorilla glass to reduce scratches.

Tecno Phantom 8 comes with a dual-camera set up with Sony-made IMX386 12MP and 13MP sensors at the back as suggested by the teasing pictures Tecno released on social media prior the launch date. However, it has 12MP selfie shooter with 2X optical eye zoom, but the second sensor trumps it with up to 10X Super Zoom.

The device is powered by an octa-core Mediatek Helio P25 processor that clocks up to 2.6GHz. As rumored, the Phantom 8 has 6GB of RAM, 64GB of ROM. However, am disappointed in the OS though because i was expecting the latest Android 8 Oreo OS here but Tecno instead launched phantom 8 with Android 7.0 Nougat. Taking a closer look at the smartphone design, you will spot that the design is not far from that of Infinix note 4 series, in other words the both smart phones has the same design but with different battery capacity.

We all know that the trends behind 18:9 aspect ratio bezel- less display is what people watchout for nowadays, this which the smartphone lacked, adding that feature would have made it a perfect finish, which qualifies it to have the look of Samsung S8 and others,
this lacks makes it look like every other expensive smartphone with similar specs but with a bit difference, which is just the improvement of the Oreo 8 os.
Finally atleast 4000
mahplus would have win the war for this device, anyways its all good.

ReplyDelete6GB RAM AND 64GB INBUILT RUNNING ON A 2.2GHZ PROCESSING speed is good but the price is a set back. Somebody should tell TECNO they need to UPGRADE their phones VIA OTA. I’m not EXCITED about this. WHY NOT A 6″ SCREEN and A STANDARD DUAL SIM TRAY WITH A DEDICATED SD CARD SLOT.
